  1. Here I have two verses, of which the first one is a true sasandEhaalaMkaara while the second is not. However, my pardonably mischievous mind has dared to present the second verse too to our good friends:-). I shall come out with an explanation to these soon.

    • The first verse while guessing about the abode of the Goddess of learning in poets, scholars and artistes/artists, suggests that she has to be realized only in these places.
The second verse brings out the perplexed plight of Sarasvati who is unable to kiss the four faces of her husband, the creator as all of them are the harems of the vedic literature and especially of the most sacred hymn gaayatri which is present in all the veda-s and in all parts of them.

    • Dear Ganesh,

Though some time is required by me to fully understand the entire padyas (anvaya, pratipadaartha, etc) I can safely say that both these are just awesome. The idea of the second verse is just too good.

      Thanks for these not-really-humble verses.

  2. Here is another humble attempt:

I am always put in to doubt as the world describes the Goddess of poesy as an embodiment ambrosial whiteness in spite of her lovely move towards the master poets. ( Here the word “raaga” implies both love and redness).

    • Let there be no such doubts in you. The Goddess of poesy has gained the tint from bad poets, and she will rid herself of it once she approaches the good ones:

You may nurse such doubts, but there are none such in our minds, for – drawing from Kannada grammar the absence of difference between karaNakAraka and apAdAnakAraka – she (the Goddess of poesy) has originated from you (rA.ga):
Kindly correct the errors and hone the composition.

Are you the auchitya? Are you the rasa? Are you the very heart of sahrudaya where the rasa actually lies? Are you the suggestion? Are you the creator of all? Are you the sound generated by the koel? Are you the discerning power of the swan? Are you the dance of the peacock? Are you the one who help us cross everything? Are you the river (saraswati)? Are you the wife of brahma? Or even after knowing that you are everything, is my mind still an abode of ignorance? I don’t know.

Replete with anvayaklesha, have maintained no consistency in gender, ( रस etc –> पुल्लिङ्ग , हृदय etc–> नपुंसक) while addressing सरस्वती (स्त्रीलिङ्ग) . hoping that she (alone) will forgive me.

    • Thanks for a fine verse.
